Happy Holidays!
Well here we are again, and we're excited to share some the exciting events this past year has brought us!
In January, after much prayer and thought, we decided that it was indeed time for Marc to begin looking for another teaching position elsewhere in the country. We searched internet sites for jobs (and houses), called and emailed school districts, re-did his resume, wrote letters of interest, and basically became a job-hunting brigade! Around mid-May, after a lot of disappointment and even MORE prayer, we decided that it was NOT time for Marc to look for another teaching position! Marc decided to stay at Granger Elementary and continue teaching 5th grade.
Within a few weeks of that decision, in a huge surprise to us (and most everyone we knew), we bought a house in Magna, Utah! Although it was not our original plan, we feel like the planning we did definitely helped us prepare for this turn of events! It happened so quickly that I was glad that I had been packing for those past few months!
We love our new home and neighborhood! We feel so blessed to be here! it is very humbling to know that when the Lord wants you to be somewhere He will make it possible! We all love having the space and freedom. The kids enjoy having their own place to run around outside, and I love not having to worry as much about them running around outside!
We are all enjoying our new Ward. Marc is the 2nd counselor in the Sunday School Presidency, i am the Primary Chorister and an Activity Day leader, and Ellie and Ben are BOTH in Nursery (at least until January, when Ellie will graduate to Sunbeams - yikes!)!
Speaking of the dynamic duo, they are a riot! They definitely keep laughter and joy in our home! We are blessed to have such wonderful little ones in our home!
Ben (20 months) is still as sweet as ever. He is talking quite a bit and says the funniest things! He has the most expressive face and does everything from "the cheeser" to "the crusty". He is getting to be quite the climber and it sometimes scares me how fast he is at getting into precarious places. Ben adore Ellie, and wants to do everything she does...including potty training!
In addition to potty training (does it ever end?) Ellie (3 1/2) has been learning the Articles of Faith and now has the first through the third completely memorized, and can recite the fourth with a little prompting. She's quite the little smarty! She loves to sing, still loves dinosaurs, and has a great imagination. She loves to watch movies, and I'm afraid she's quite a "tater tot," because she can quote just about every movie we own!
At this time of year we are especially grateful for the opportunity to share our testimony of the Lord with you! We surely have been blessed this year, and hope to pass some of those blessings on to others! God bless you and keep you in the year to come...and if you are ever out our way drop on by!
With love,
Marc, Sarah, Ellie and Ben
